Appearance:
The bronze wall sculpture depicts a curled male figure seemingly bursting forth from the wall:
One arm is bent to shield the face, with the hand raised and fingers splayed as if warding off an unseen force. Below, a detached bronze leg appears separated from the torso, creating the visual effect that the rest of the body has been swallowed by the wall.
Inspired by Italian sculptor Matteo Pugliese’s “Extra Moenia” series, the sculpture vividly captures a moment where fear, defense, and vulnerability intertwine.
Craftsmanship and Details:
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, the sculpture features an aged green patina that evokes a sense of depth and history.
To faithfully reproduce the sculpture’s aesthetic, our artists employ processes involving clay and silicone molds during casting, ensuring that details—such as the figure’s gaze, hair, and musculature—are rendered with striking realism.

Through these fragmented yet cohesive human forms, Matteo Pugliese conveys a pursuit of vitality and freedom. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to commission any of the styles shown below.
