Brief Introduction
This is a government public project. It was commissioned by a famous Ethiopian artist. The project was to create a 4-meter-tall custom bronze statue of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
The client provided the design drawing and confirmed the overall posture and final effect of the statue. To better restore the real image of the person, our factory artists studied many photos and videos. We carefully researched his facial expression, body movement, and personal habits, trying to make the statue more realistic and vivid.
During the production process, the commissioned artist visited our factory twice to check the details and confirm the final effect with our team.
Project Highlights
Custom-Made Statue with Accurate Likeness
The statue is 4 meters high, which is a large bronze figure sculpture. We made it according to the client’s design drawing. At the same time, we also used many reference materials to study the facial expression, body posture, and overall character of the person, making sure the statue looks accurate and natural.
Artist Joined the Clay Model Adjustment
During the clay model stage, the commissioned artist came to our factory and worked with our sculpture team to check and adjust the statue. We paid special attention to the facial details. The clay model was revised many times to make the final result more realistic.
Rich Surface Color and Satisfied Final Effect
The client had high requirements for the surface color of the statue. They wanted the face, clothing details, and overall texture to show rich layers. Our factory artists provided color samples, and after the client confirmed them, we started the coloring work. After the coloring was finished, the commissioned artist was very satisfied with the final effect.
Production Process
The production started with a large clay model. We focused on the body proportion, posture, and facial details. After the clay model was confirmed, we moved to mold making, bronze casting, welding, grinding, and polishing. Each step was carefully handled to make sure the statue was stable, smooth, and detailed.
Finally, we colored the surface according to the confirmed color samples. The layered coloring made the face, clothing, and overall texture look richer and more natural. After completion, we checked the whole statue and packed it for shipment. At present, the client has received the statue, but we have not yet received installation photos from the project site.
